About Me

My photo
Well, where do I start? I could start at many stages in my life; all very exciting and adventurous in some sort of way. Probably best to start when I met my husband 10 years ago, as this was the turning point in my very emotional and dramatic life. Met Ben through work, we had a wonderful life together, very ambitious, career driven until we decided to started a family 4 years later. The fertility Journey did take 2 years to conceive but we got there eventually and conceived little Thomas, now for someone like me who has no patience what so ever this was a agonizing and stressful wait but well worth it. We moved from our home town Bournemouth to Ipswich with Ben's work, I gave up my careern and then married in Cumbria in 2009. We continued to have 2 more children very easily compared to Thomas, Jesiica and Baby Wilson.
One of the main reasons I have set up this blog is to gather advice and information on how I can be guided through my Journey into Christianity. "We need others around us who know Jesus. Who want God to influence their lives", "The Spiritual Starter Kit" Lesson # 5 - The value of other believers.
I am not perfect nor do I want to be, I am not here to change the world, or the way people think. I am just here to be happy and put the past behind me, wash away all the pain and view the world differently to the way I see it today. I want to be happy in no matter what I do, feel completeness and at peace with the world and admire all the beautiful things it has to offer me, my family and all my beautiful friends. I know this can happen it is just a matter of believing!

Please, I urge you to join my site and welcome any thoughts you may have or advice that will help me on my way! This site would not work without your input. Please note I am dyslexic, so, if anyone wishes to volunteer to edit my posts, by all means feel free.

Verse of the Day - Biblestudytool.com

Isaiah 32:17 (NIV)
The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.

Day - 1 - Seek

Revised Standard Version (RSV) New International Version (NIV)
38 Jesus turned, and saw them following, and said to them, "What do you seek?"

David discusses the above statement: "seek and you will find" He states that Seek is a very common work  through out the bible. "when you seek me with all your heart, you will find me", Prophet Jeremiah.
How do we discover God?
What is he all about?
What can he do for me?
Faith is a journey of discovery, finding God which was hidden from us, for some, a long time for others not very long.
Hide and seek.
We seek God.
This is God's promise to us we seek and he will find us!
Jesus turned around to his followers in The Gospel of John and said "What do you seek?"
It has been translated as "What are you looking for?"
Interesting, what are we looking for when we seek God?

As stated in David's book
Reflection
We can't know what it is we want until we discover what it is we are looking for.

A Prayer
Lord, help me to turn my vague wants into a genuine search for truth. Amen.

Discussion
What do you think people in our modern society are really looking for? And how do they pursue their search for it?

Ash Wednesday

I have decided to read the following book for Lent and read  scripture daily.

Now like me many of you out there may be very busy especially if your a mum like me. I never have time to read the bible, I promise myself at night before I go to bed but that just doesn't work. I am way to tired I go to bed to sleep not read lol.
I do however like my morning coffee (this is a must otherwise I turn into a monster). So, i have decided to ask my hubby to give me 30 mins in the morning with my coffee to read this simple book every day through Lent. Actually it only really takes about 5 mins to read and reflect so it really easy that easy. I think it is great because it get's your mind working, plants a little seed of information which will get you thinking through the day!
I will try and promise to do this every day for myself and you.
Good luck and hope you enjoy this little journey!
